The Process
-
Consultation
I begin with a 15-minute phone consultation at no charge to determine if coaching can help you make the changes you are seeking. If you want to proceed with my services, you will review and sign my coaching contract which will explain the coaching process and expectations of our partnership.
-
Setting Goals
We then determine a setting for our sessions and schedule a meeting within a week. As I get to know more about you, we will create a wellness vision together by identify the steps necessary to get you there.
-
Sessions
Each subsequent session moves you closer to your vision by celebrating what is working and learning what is still needed though brainstorming strategies, overcoming challenges, and discovering solutions.
-
Check ins
Between session check-ins, whether texts, shared documents, or brief phone conversations, are available if needed to help you stay focused in forming new habits. It is important that my services are immediately available to you.
FAQs

Anyone can benefit from coaching when they desire and are ready to make changes to improve their health and wellness.

Sessions are typically 60 minutes in length.
-
Typically, at the start, coaching sessions occur weekly or bi-monthly, and decrease as you develop the skills and healthy habits you are seeking. You are not required to have a certain number of total sessions. You determine. Creating new habits takes thirty to ninety days and coaching encourages, supports, and helps you stay accountable to making habits happen. The goal of coaching is for you not to need coaching.

My fees vary based on individual circumstances. It is important to me that finances never be a barrier to receiving coaching services. I will discuss fees with you during our initial phone consultation.

Coaching and therapy may use the same positive psychology tools and skills to help clients seek clarity and self-awareness, however, coaches do not diagnose or treat physical or mental disorders. I am not trained to heal past traumas. I am trained to help you, starting here and now, to move forward in personal or professional growth based on your determination of success. We may look into your past only as your teacher to inform you of how you want to build your future.
-
I am HIPPA compliant, meaning, our work together is confidential. I adhere to all ethical standards of practice to my Minnesota occupational therapy licensure (#100565) and national health coaching credentials (#001641) in addition to the standards set forth by the International Consortium for Health & Wellness Coaching (ICHWC). It is your decision if you want your parent or legal guardian to be a part of your coaching experience and if so, you will determine to what extent. I will maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality with any exchange of information to better support your health and wellbeing.

Outcomes of coaching are so much more than your desired goals, vision, and acquired healthy habits. The process means so much more than the outcome. What do I mean? All of your sincere efforts to achieve your goals will develop greater self-awareness and self-knowledge; increased personal responsibility; new tools for your toolbox; greater resilience and self-efficacy; a more grounded sense of your purpose and what you value; a mindfulness presence, and a way of thinking and living that will navigate you through each stage of life to stay well and thrive.
You are responsible for your physical, mental, and emotional well-being, including how to incorporate health coaching into your life. You are responsible for creating your own results, knowing that coaching results are not guaranteed.
